To help parents understand the laptop initiative, every parent of a student new to HCPS secondary schools is required to complete Parent Technology Orientation. Parents who have completed training for an older sibling or parents who are HCPS teachers are not required to attend training but are encouraged to attend.  Elementary and high school parents are not required to complete training, but there is a lot of content here that is relevant to all parents.

Please visit http://tinyurl.com/trainingcheck to indicate your training was completed. If your child is new to Henrico or if he/she is a rising 6th grader, then it is extremely important for you to complete parent training and/or indicate that you have completed training for another child enrolled in HCPS during the last five years.
