Parent Technology Info
Student technology usage in HCPS is a scaffolded K-12 experience.
- Visit the Elementary Technology Info page to learn about what resources are available to K-5 students in Henrico County Public Schools.
- Visit the Secondary Technology Info page to participate in an online or face-to-face parent technology information session. Participation in a session is required for parents of incoming sixth graders and transfer students in order for their student(s) to receive a laptop.
We live in rapidly changing times, with online opportunities and risks for all users, especially young people. HCPS helps, guides, and empowers students to safely leverage digital opportunities while becoming digital citizens. This page contains digital citizenship resources used to train HCPS students and resources for parents to assist their students in learning to make good choices online.
Through the teaching and learning initiative, Henrico County Public Schools are preparing students for the 21st century by providing meaningful instruction and improving academic performance. Our educators work to identify and implement digital resources, supporting technologies and strong instructional practice that will ensure a solid 21st-century learning experience for Henrico students which will prepare them for college and the workplace. We are very proud of the students in Henrico County and what they have accomplished through the use of technology. Click on the Student 21 link below to explore their work. We hope you enjoy what you see!
