Virtual Learning In Henrico

Coronavirus closure: HCPS supporting “anytime, anywhere learning”

Learning opportunities for completion at home are available to students during the closure. Elementary students can continue to learn using project-based opportunities in their instructional packets. Because secondary students are issued HCPS-issued laptops, they can continue learning online using our learning management system, Schoology. Please see the helpful links below for more information.

Hotlines & Help Desk

There’s a new hotline parents can call specifically about school information! The HCPS call center will be staffed seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. by HCPS Central Office personnel who routinely respond to calls from our families. The number is 804-501-5655. When you call, say you have a question for Henrico County Public Schools.

There’s also a hotline for parents to call in regard to computer/technology issues with HCPS laptops and Chromebooks. Call the “Helpdesk” at 804-328-5207 and leave a message. You can also send an email to helpdesk@henrico.k12.va.us. Our team will follow-up with you as quickly as possible.

Free Division - Level Resources

Please click on the button below to view an updated list of free resources that are being offered divisionwide in response to Covid-19. Many of these resources will be available to students, teachers and families in Clever until June 30. The Department of Teaching, Learning and Innovation will continue to update this list as new resources become available.

Which digital tools does my child have access to at their school?

Clever references a vast array of approved digital digital tools students have access to in Henrico County. In order to see the tools specific to your child and their school please log into your child’s Clever Portal. This can be done by going to clever.com/in/henrico and logging in with a single username and password. Once logged in you will see a personalized dashboard containing all of the resources available to your child.

Is virtual learning optional for students?

During the closure, students have been provided access to instructional activities through virtual and distance learning approaches. Our goal is to ensure that all students have digital and nondigital resources that allow them the option to engage in the content they had been learning while at school.

We understand every student’s situation is unique, and while these activities aren’t required, we encourage parents, guardians and childcare providers to leverage these resources to offer students regular opportunities to learn and grow, even outside of school.
