Henrico Education Foundation’s Taylor to represent Virginia on National Industry Leadership Council

Mike Taylor, Executive Director of the Henrico Education Foundation, has been selected as the Virginia representative for the National School Foundation Association’s Industry Leadership Council. Individuals selected for the Industry Leadership Council are considered thought leaders in the industry, and understand the value of collective national efforts in raising the knowledge base, profile and impact of the education foundation industry.
The purpose of the Industry Leadership Council is to gain the benefit of their voice in guiding the growth of the industry and better engage industry leaders as ambassadors. Across the country, education foundations and their leaders are creating life-changing opportunities for their students. The Industry Leadership Council is a way to bring some of those strongest voices together.

The mission of the Henrico Education Foundation (HEF) is to prepare students for college, career and community by connecting philanthropy with strategic initiatives that strengthen public education in Henrico County. Founded in 1993 as a public-private partnership with the Henrico County Public Schools, HEF supports more than 51,000 students and 3,900 teachers in the Commonwealth’s sixth largest school district.

Taylor joined HEF in 2014, and has more than 20 years of non-profit management and fundraising experience. His work at HEF is focused on transforming public education through the expansion of best practices, creation of innovation in the classroom, development of research-based solutions and fostering a Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology in addressing the challenges facing public education.
