Christian Taylor 1930’s

Hello little person of America,

The Great Depression of the 1930’s was a very trying time for the people of America.  Many people lost their jobs, lost their life savings, and many lost all of their hope for humanity.  Multiple things led to this depression.  Americans bought everything on installments during this time period.  An installment is a lone from the bank that is paid off in different amounts with interest. Farmers lost money due to the advancement in technology of machines.  During this time period, there was a huge gap between the rich and the poor people of America.  No one had the same opinion on the way taxes should be handed down from the government.  Taxes are a contribution to state revenue, handed down by the government on workers’ income and business profits or added to the cost of some goods, services, and transactions.  Another cause of the great depression was that the United States started to not trade as much with other countries in this world.  This caused the United States to have less imports and exports.
