Hello Parents and Guardians of Ms. Goddin’s Class,
My name is Justin Ball, and I will be a student teacher in your child’s classroom for the next 8 weeks. I am currently in my fifth year, or my graduate school year, at James Madison University working towards my master’s degree in elementary education.
A little bit about me:
I’m very excited to be returning to the area where I grew up. After being in Harrisonburg for four and a half years, it’s nice to finally be home. I went to a few local elementary and middle schools that put me in Glen Allen High School district. Fun fact: I was a part of the first graduating class from Glen Allen in 2013. Also, for two and a half years, I went to Henrico High half of the day because I was in the Center for the Arts, which is the specialty center in that school. I specialized in visual art, while there was also theater, dance, and musical theater. Outside of the classroom, I’m an assistant coach for a juniors volleyball team through Richmond Volleyball Club. As a national level team, we practice numerous days during the week, and we travel to a number of cities around the country to play elite teams for a chance to get a bid to the national tournament.
I’m very excited to be in your child’s classroom this semester, and looking forward to all the great learning from your rockstars!
