Hi Families,

  • Tuesday marks the beginning of the 3rd marking period! Wow, time sure does fly by! Please continue to take advantage of Raz Kids, Reflex Math, and math flash cards. They DO make a difference.
  • We said farewell to Sultan last week. We wish safe travels to his whole family on their move back to Saudi Arabia.

2019 Winter After School Enrichment Classes

Classes will begin the week of February 11 and will run through the week of March 18.

If you have a PTA Membership, you will have first “choice” on ASE Classes!!

ASE registration for PTA Membership begins January 22nd – 24th.

Regular ASE registration begins Friday, January 25.

Registration deadline is Monday, February 4, 2019.

Many thanks to our wonderful PTA for a terrific “Muffins with Mom” event last Friday! Our gym was packed and it seemed like a special time for all.

If you have not turned in your Multi-cultural night slip, please do so ASAP as we are starting the pre-writing process this week.

What we will be learning this week:

Language/Writing- generating and answering questions (conducting an interview) to generate ideas for writing

Math- equality

Social Studies- why do we commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr in January?

Hi Families,

We were so delighted to welcome a new student, Eduardo, to our class on Friday! His family has moved to CTES from Brazil, and he is excited to be learning English from us. Homework notebooks came home on Friday (a bit early due to the snowy forecast.) They are due on Friday. Raz Kids is up and working again, the website was down last Thursday/Friday.

What we will be learning this week:

Math: addition/subtraction (part/part/whole); the concept of = equality

Language Arts: Review of predictions and making text to self connections

Writing: Bold beginnings/Mighty middles/excellent endings

Social Studies: Maps
