June 6th

It’s hard to believe the school year is almost over! This week, we will finish administering Fountas & Pinnell reading assessments. Students will also participate in drama circles and practice math skills playing several math games.  Homework will consist of reading for 20 minutes and reviewing soil in our science journals.

The Wax Museum was a huge success! Thank you so much for all your help at home. We couldn’t have pulled it off without you. Be sure to check out the speeches and pictures under the picture tab.

All library materials are due back to the library.
This week, you received notices of any overdue books your child still has. Please make every effort to find and return the books. If the book is still missing, you will receive an invoice with the amount due, payable to Kaechele Elementary School. Thank you for your help and support.

This Thursday, June 7th, when we kick off summer reading with a book fair, dedicate our awesome new outdoor classroom, and celebrate that we have completed this year’s “Mission.”  Once again, we will partner with our local bookshop, bbgb, to bring you this convenient opportunity to shop for the newest and best summer titles. During the evening, we will also dedicate our outdoor classroom, share about upcoming landscaping designs for the fall and reveal the official name. A flyer was sent home this past Tuesday with more detailed information, so if you have not seen it, then please check your child’s backpack. Again, I hope you will plan to join us as we celebrate our successes, and how we have made it “Possible”……  Please check your calendar to make sure you have noted Book Fair at Kaechele from 4:00-7:00 PM and Dedication Ceremony at 6:00 PM in our new outdoor classroom.Friday, June 15th is the last day of school, and this day is a half day for students. We will begin dismissal three hours early at 11:00 AM.
