Happy Thanksgiving!

This will be a short week for students.  We will have a regular day on Monday and on Tuesday is our fun Turkey Trot!  I will try to keep the schedule as normal as possible this week!  We will continue with reading, math and social studies instruction! 🙂

Due to our short week this week, there is NO written Homework coming home:)   Please continue to read nightly over your Thanksgiving break and use Raz Kids/Reflex Math.

  • The Turkey Trot is Tuesday. Please have your child dress for the weather and wear P.E. shoes
  • Thank you to all of those who have donated to the Christmas Mother Food Drive! We will be collecting food items until November 26th!
  • We will be having our Winter Celebration on Tuesday, December 18th from 12:00-1:00 pm in our classroom. Information will be coming home from our room parents regarding this event following the Thanksgiving break.

Last week we had a wonderful time sharing our animal projects.  Please log onto Seesaw to view your child’s project!  I will also post some pictures of the projects on the blog so that you can see them all.

This week we will learn about the following:

Language: Plot of a story

Math:  Place Value

Social Studies:  Christopher Newport and the first Thanksgiving

Important Dates:

November 20 – Report Cards go home!  Please sign the envelope and return it in your child’s folder on Monday after the break.

November 21-25 – Thanksgiving Break!
