Service Learning Adventure

You have the opportunity to take a fun and educational service trip to the Great Smoky Mountains with other middle and high school students from across RVA. For the 8th year, I will be leading the group along with outstanding college student mentors. The trip is scheduled from 6/17/2018 to 6/23/2018. We are using the professional travel company Grand Classroom to plan every aspect of the trip.

The trip is open to all students currently in 6th – 12th grade. VCU students also attend as chaperones.

For the price of $2039 everything on the trip will be covered – all transportation, lodging, meals, service and adventure activities, as well as medical insurance for the full 7-days.

You will spend 6 days exploring the Great Smokies in a very well designed tour. On Day 5, you will get to work with the Cherokee Nation on a Service Learning Project. For that, you can earn up to 8 hours of community service.
