Last Week of School!!! Week of 6/13 – 6/16

Happy last week of school, everyone!  I am going to miss this class of students SO much!  I am incredibly proud of their kindness, work ethic, and love of learning!  Thank you for all of your support this year to make it wonderful!

A lot of information has been sent home and emailed about this last week of school.  We are very excited to celebrate the 5th graders at their Crossover Ceremony on Tuesday morning and at their 5th Grade Celebration Day on Wednesday.  Please let me know if you have any questions about this week’s events.

Please take a moment to read the final newsletter from Mrs. Toth and me!

I hope you have a safe, relaxing, and memorable summer with your family!  Please keep in touch!  🙂

We are down to the last 2 weeks of school!!!  It’s hard to believe we are in the final countdown!

We have lots of things planned for these final 9 days of school.  Last week, your child brought home a yellow flier with all of the important dates and events coming up to celebrate our 5th graders.  If you did not receive this paper, here is the digital copy:

Week of May 16 – 20

Hi families!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

5th graders will be taking our Math SOL Assessment on Wednesday, 5/18.  I am very proud of how hard they have been working and focusing.

As we did last week for the Reading SOL, students will leave their computer and charger at school on Tuesday in order to make sure the Chromebooks are fully charged on Wednesday morning. Please help your child remember to bring their charger and computer to school on Tuesday.  Thank you!

Week of May 9 – 13

Hello, families!  I hope you had a nice weekend and a wonderful Mother’s Day!  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!  Each and every one of you made me feel so appreciated during Teacher Appreciation Week last week.  The cards, gifts, flowers, treats, and thoughtful messages were such a nice way to spend my week.  I am so grateful for all of my students and will miss them next school year!

5th Grade Celebration:  The deadline for ordering a 5th Grade Celebration t-shirt for your child is this Friday, 5/13.  Please see the form that was included in the yellow information packet sent home with your child a few weeks ago.  If you need assistance, please let me know.  The students are going to have so much on this special day!

Here is a look at our week ahead.  As you know, 5th graders will be taking our Reading SOL Assessment on Wednesday, 5/11.  Thank you for ensuring your child arrives to school on time with their fully-charged computer.  We will begin testing after the morning announcements.
