Who: The Executive Director for Exceptional Education and the Gifted Education Specialist for HCPS will present information on the expansion.

All parents, teachers and students are welcome. *

April 3 – 6:30-7:30 p.m.   Glen Allen High School Auditorium

Our book parade was a huge success!  The children read books from our wonderful book room.  Each group participated in a STEM lab where they had to work collaboratively to create a parade float.  The primary grades viewed our floats as we “motored along the parade route”.  A special thank you to the PTA for funding Gayton’s book room.

Enjoy our re-enactment!!!  It may take a few minutes to load, so be patient.  It’s worth the wait!

Miss Cunninghamm’s Class has earned enough green backs to have a pizza party!!  Our pizza party is Friday, Jan. 20, 2012!!  What fun!!!

Fourth graders spent the last couple of weeks learning about fire safety.  I’m sure all Gayton households are now safe and everyone in the family knows the home escape route and the meeting place.  The children were able to practice an escape from the Fire Safety trailer on Friday.  Everyone impressed the firemen with their knowledge and escaped safely.

The fourth grade was treated to a special presentation on Thursday afternoon.  Zack Daniel of CBS Channel 6 news came to Gayton to teach us about weather and the job of a meteorologist.  The children had a great time will learning too.

Junior VA Trekkers

Our first social studies project of the year has been published.  The students worked in broadcast teams to create a newscast of the VA regions.  All of the children worked hard to create their broadcast.  Enjoy watching our Stars in Action by clicking on the link above!!

The class had a terrific time designing and constructing Powhatan longhouses this week.  Take a peak at us hard at work.

A Parent NBA box will be available in the front office for suggestions, questions, or concerns. There will also be a student box for the same purpose located in the library.
