Attention students taking CFA Online Health 10 Fall Semester:
MANDATORY Meeting: Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 6:00pm – 6:30pm in the Henrico High School Library
Enter the building at the box office entrance by the gym. A parent/guardian must also attend the meeting. Students must bring their computer charged.
There is also a MAKE UP Mandatory meeting on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 8:00am in room 1502 for those unable to attend on the 26th.
Due to Monday’s weather events, the Drama Club’s auditions for VTA are now scheduled for Thursday, 9/20 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 9/21 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Students may attend either day. A cast list will be posted Monday, 9/24.
Interested in attending the Center for the Arts in 2019-2020? The process starts NOW. Choose from one of four sessions to attend. The evening starts with a general session followed by break-out sessions where you may attend up to 3 presentations from different specialty centers. Dates are below; all sessions begin at 7pm.

Current CFA students and families, please join us for the annual ice cream social sponsored by CFA’s booster organization, Friends of Center for the Arts, on Thursday, Septmeber 27, 2018. This is FCFA’s kick off event for the school year where parents can learn about all of the way FCFA supports the Center and how to help, both financially and through volunteer efforts. Ice cream is provided but we ask each family to bring your favorite ice cream topping. There is also a class competition where the class with the highest percentage of students w/ parent attending receive a special class treat so be sure to sign in when you arrive.
Fees may be paid online through the Online School Payments System. Information on how to set up an account is included in Principal Castillo-Rose’s weekly communications. You may also pay in person on the August 30th Fee Day, from 2-7pm or during the school year in the CFA office.
Please note that each CFA student must pay a $20 Specialty Center Fee. It is listed in the payment system as “2018-2019 Specialty Center – (Name of Curriculum Area: Dance, Musical Theater, Theatre or Visual Arts.)
This Orientation is for all incoming Freshman to Henrico High School.
All incoming 9th grade students are invited to attend HHS Orientation! Note to CFA Freshman: This Orientation is different from the CFA Orientation that was held back in May!
Dr. Poxon’s weekly CFA Newsletters, without attachments, are posted on the CFA Website. The full newsletter is sent out via email each week, usually on Fridays during the school year. Thank you to all who attended CFA’s New Student Orientation on May 15, 2018! In the general session, students learned about the program and Henrico High from CFA Director Stephanie Poxon, HHS Principal Karin Castillo-Rose, School Counseling Director Erica Daniels, and FCFA President Terri Hague. Each student received information from Dr. Poxon about the program, a calendar of CFA events for 2018-2019, their requested course schedule, course FAQs, information about Friends of CFA and a list of HHS clubs and athletic opportunities. After the general session, students attended break out sessions in their curriculum areas where they met their future teachers and classmates and received a course syllabus, summer assignment and supply list. Each area’s syllabus will be posted on this website soon under the “Current Students” tab. Those unable to attend will recieve their packet in the mail.
