CFA Theatre Teacher Todd Ritter Selected as Finalist for 2017 REB Awards for Teaching Excellence

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Todd Ritter who has been selected as a finalist for the 2017 R.E.B. Awards for Teaching Excellence! This is a tremendous honor as approximately only 30 teachers from the greater Richmond area are chosen as finalists, and of those 30, only half are honored with the cash grant award.
The R.E.B. Awards for Teaching Excellence were established in 1988 to recognize public school teachers who have distinguished themselves by their inspiring classroom performance. The R.E.B. awards are designed to identify, recognize, and support teaching excellence in the metropolitan Richmond public school systems. Grants ranging from $4,000 to $12,000 each will be given to approximately fifteen teachers to support professional development activities. Recipients will be required to share educational ideas and experiences with fellow teachers. This program has been developed by The Community Foundation and is funded by the R.E.B. Foundation.
Mr. Ritter will submit a proposal to the committee sometime this summer and then he will have an interview with the selection panel in the fall. The R.E.B. Award Winners will be announced at a ceremony in November.
Mr. Ritter is so deserving of this honor and we are so proud of him and of his many accomplishments! He has done so much to grow and develop theatre programs and Drama Club here at Henrico High School and the Center for the Arts. We are lucky to have him as our Lead CFA Theatre Teacher and we wish him all the best! Way to go Mr. Ritter!
