We are so excited and proud to announce the Center for the Arts Visual results of this year’s Regional Scholastics Competition. Our students received an unprecedented recognition for work done in CFA classes and many will now advance to compete in the National competition in New York.
This regional competition is our biggest competition for visual arts each year; our region encompasses SIXTY counties and cities that stretch North to Stafford County and East to Norfolk:
Our Center for the Arts Visual Arts students received the highest number of awards of any other school (including 3 other magnet centers for the arts) in the region–congratulations to Genevieve Dowdy & Mary Scurlock – they are so proud of these kids!!!!!

Gold Key winners are honored in a ceremony at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, will have their work in a March show at the VMFA and will go on to NYC to compete at the National Level.
Silver Key winners are honored at a ceremony at VMFA.
