Visual and Performing Arts College Fair – Washington, D.C.

Visual and Performing Arts College Fair – Due to an overwhelming response, there is no more room on the charter bus funded by the FCFA to the Visual and Performing Arts College Fair in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, October 31.  However, many parents have asked if they can drive up separately and join up with us in D.C.  The answer – ABSOLUTELY!!  We encourage you to please join the FCFA on this field trip.  Here is the FCFA itinerary; feel free to join us in any or all of these activities:

9:00 a.m. – depart Henrico for Washington, D.C.  (those taking the FCFA bus – we will leave from the main parking lot in front of the school!!)

11:00 a.m. – arrive Union Station – enjoy lunch and shopping from 11:00-12:20

12:20 p.m. – meet up with FCFA chaperones at meeting place in Union Station to board bus

12:30 p.m. – bus leaves Union Station to Convention Center

1:00 – 3:30 p.m. – attend the VPA College Fair

4:00 p.m. – depart Convention Center to return home

6:00 p.m. – estimated arrival back at Henrico High School

***We ask that all CFA students/parents going to the College Fair to please show your school spirit (and help identify yourselves) by wearing CFA GEAR WEAR!!  If you don’t have any GEAR WEAR, Rene Ashjian will bring CFA t-shirts for sale that morning before departing to D.C.!!***

This college fair is a great way for you and your family to learn about the various colleges and universities throughout the country that offer degrees in the visual and performing arts.  For information about the college fair, please see:  http://www.nacacnet.org/EventsTraining/CollegeFairs/pva/Pages/10PDC.aspx.  In addition, please read this article that was published in the New York Times that references this college fair:  http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/08/11/answers-to-your-questions-about-college-theater-programs/.
