I am Mrs. Alves, first grade teacher at Greenwood Elementary School in Henrico County, Virginia for the 2016-17 school year. I have been teaching for 36 years. I have been at Greenwood since it’s opening in 2004. I am a lifelong learner. My favorite things are the Earth, technology and children’s books. I also work for VCU as part of their Clinical Faculty in Teacher Leadership. I am pleased to say that I won a Henrico21 Technology Award 2014 for our Research Project in first grade. You may check out my pages about our friend Ernie, who helped us win the award. I am married and have a daughter and a busy grandson. 🙂
I am very proud of my accomplishments in my career.
