I made a mistake on the newsletter. Please note that the correct date for the VA Beach field trip is THURSDAY, APRIL 5TH. I apologize for the error. Children still need to be at school at 6:45 AM and picked up at 4:45 PM. A reminder letter will come home in a couple of days.

Our goal is to complete all reading projects by Friday, February 17th. Students are reminded to review their guidelines’ sheet and check off each task as completed. Students received their user name and password today. Mr. Favale presented a lesson on how to log in, post comments, check spelling, publish, and edit. My students are off to a great start! The Talent Show is now scheduled for February 1, 2012, at 6:30 PM. Please change the date from January 26th to February 1st.

The purpose of the Benchmark assessment is two-fold. They will be used as formative assessments to inform the teacher about student mastery of recently instructed content, as well as whether students are maintaining performance on the content and skills likely to be assessed on the (Standards of Learning) SOL tests and Henrico Assessments.
