The Henrico County Public Library, in partnership with Henrico County Public Schools and the Friends of Henrico County Public Library, is proud to host the nationally acclaimed author, David Baldacci, on Tuesday, April 5, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. for the public at GlenAllen High School, 10700 Staples Mill Road, Glen Allen, 23060, as part of Henrico’s400th Anniversary Celebration and the community’s ALL HENRICO READS. His novel, Wish You Well, as the featured title, will be available for sale, as well as some of his other novels. He will autograph books following the program. Iin addition, our school will take approximately 100 students to meet the author in the morning for a session designed especially for them.  Students interested in attending must read the book, Wish You Well, and complete this form to be entered in the drawing to select the 100 students who can attend.  We will hold the drawing in mid March so students will know if they have been selected to attend the morning session. We encourage ALL students and their families to attend the community session at 7pm as it is FREE and open to the public. Please plan to get there early to get a seat, as this will be a popular event!

David Baldacci, a graduate of Henrico High School, received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Virginia Commonwealth University and his law degree from the University of Virginia. He practiced law for nine years in Washington, D.C. while he continued to write short stories and screenplays. But it was his first novel and presidential thriller, Absolute Power, that won him a place on the New York Times Bestseller List in 1996 and a major motion picture the following year.

Baldacci has authored seven original screenplays, and his works have been published in magazines, newspapers, and journals throughout the world. All of his books have become national and international bestsellers.

David Baldacci serves as a national ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and has founded the Wish You Well Foundation for literacy.
Our middle school title this year is Baldacci’s Wish You Well. Be sure to read it NOW, and sign up for a chance to see Mr. Baldacci in person on April 5th at Glen Allen High School! For additional information about the community event at 7 pm, go to www.henricolibrary.org.
