We turned our classroom grocery store into a Garden Center. The students and I had so much fun planting different kinds of plants. The students each planted grass seed in their own cup with a “face” on it. Once the grass grows it will look like hair on our cup person. We are excited to give our cup person a hair cut once the grass gets too tall! We also started a grass seed experiment! We planted grass in 4 different cups with different variables. One cup is not getting sunlight (it is in the closet), one cup has no soil, one cup is not getting water, and the last cup is getting all 3 things the plant needs. The students are excited to see what will happen. We will keep you posted about our experiment!
Take a look at the May photo album for lots of great May photos!

We had a wonderful field day today! We are so glad we waited and had it today. It was beautiful weather. The students enjoyed dancing on the bus loop, completing relay races, doing games in stations and of course crab soccer! Check out the Field Day album on the album page for pictures!
We had a great field trip today! The students loved seeing the butterflies and using their five senses in the gardens. The weather was perfect and it was so nice to be outside on this beautiful day. Thank you to all the chaperones that came with us! Take a look at the Lewis Ginter album for almost 200 pictures of our day!
Our Grocery store is now open! The students had a great time this week using coins to purchase different items in our store. Thank you everyone for sending in boxes and different things for us to use!
We had a great time at our Book Boogie Today. The dancing, songs and games were awesome! Money Donations are due the week we get back from Spring Break! There are some cute movies in our March Album!
We had a great time welcoming the first week of Spring in our Spring Hat Parade. Check out pictures in our Spring Hat Album!
We are ready for Spring in Room 1! But the weather is not really cooperating! Don’t forget the Spring Hat Parade is this Friday!
We are so excited that March is here and that spring will be here soon! We can’t believe how cold it will be this week. We are hoping for the warm weather to come out soon. We finished our bright rainbow (maybe it will encourage the warmer weather to come!) Thank you to everyone that sent in their gold coin with their favorite book written on it. We sure do “treasure” reading!
Help Echo Lake raise money for our school by ordering a Papa Johns pizza that will be delivered to you Thursday night by an Echo Lake Staff member! If you will not be home between 5-7:30 and want to do carryout your order can still count towards our class. Go online and select carryout instead but remember to put Wildauer & Franklin in the teacher spot with your order! This would also apply to a family member that lives nearby but not in our exact delivery area. They can choose carry out and come pick it up at the Tuckernuck Papa Johns.
