Week of Sept. 23

Homework folders will begin coming home this week. Please continue to have your first grader read each day. The Reading Log will be used to record minutes as well as the title of the book. There is also a page with the sight words for the first quarter. Please practice addition and subtraction facts as well. Log-in directions will be sent home for Reading A-Z and Reflex Math, two online programs students may use to practice reading and math. Thank you for helping with this homework!

As a reminder, students in first grade may check out library books during our reading rotations so students may return books whenever they are ready to exchange for new ones. Please continue to send in a nut-free snack and water bottle each day.

If you have not had the opportunity, please go to the PTA website https://colonialtrailpta.membershiptoolkit.com/home and create an account. You can then join the PTA and view lots of information about planned events. You can also purchase Spiritwear or a Yearbook through the shop.
