Week of November 27

This week we are discussing character traits in reading (how would you describe the character-nice, shy, nervous, happy, funny and how does the text support that). We continue to work on writing complete sentences and developing our reading fluency as well.

In math, we are comparing numbers using the words greater than/less than and ordering sets from greatest to least/least to greatest.

We are beginning to learn about the sun in science. The sun gives us energy and light that warms the land, air and water. We will also talk about the position of the sun in the sky throughout the day. The students love watching Pebble Go and Brainpop JR. to learn more about our science and social studies topics. It is so fun to do science experiments as well!

We loved seeing all the timelines and appreciate your support in completing this project. Thank you to all who donated cans for our food drive and for promptly returning the signed report card envelope.

We look forward to hosting Cubs Night In this Friday! The Scholastic Book order that was sent home is also due Friday.
