March is Youth Art Month!

Hi everyone!  “March Madness” is here in all it’s wild weather glory!  Below is a list of special events going on this month to celebrate our young artists and the importance of art education:

1st- During the month of March there will be an art exhibit featuring select K-5 student art work in the children’s section at the Twin Hickory Area Library in honor of “Y.A.M.”

2nd- On Tuesday, March 31st, 2015 at 6:30PM fifth graders and their families are cordially invited to “An Evening with the Pops” in honor of “Youth Art Month” and “Music In Our Schools Month.”  Please join us for musical performances in the multi-purpose room, followed by an “Art Walk” in the main hall featuring 5th grade “Pop Portraits” with refreshments in the Art Room.  Come dressed as your favorite movie star or celebrity from the 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s.
