About Mrs. Hensley

This is a page to learn a little more about me, Mrs. Hensley.

I grew up here in the Richmond area and attended James River High School in Chesterfield County. I then went on to attend James Madison University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Social Work. I then taught special education at the Virginia Institute of Autism. After a while of that, I decided to go back to school. I then attended the College of William & Mary for my Master’s Degree in School Counseling. During my time at W&M I did semester long internships at the elementary, middle, and high school levels to receive K-12 training in being a counselor. I have been the counselor at Longan since 2009. I love my Longan Lions!

Outside of school, I have a wonderful husband, a daughter named Addison born in the spring of 2012, a son named Jameson born in the spring of 2016, and an English bulldog named Roxy. I love spending time with my family, reading, watching movies, playing with my dog, and working on crafts.
