Adult Basic Education (ABE)/GED® Program

Interested in GED® Classes?

Your first step is to take a FREE placement test at one of our centers!

GETTING STARTED…… Before beginning classes, students must:

  • Register at the location they plan to attend. Must provide a government-issued photo ID.
  • Take a placement test which determines the appropriate class level.
  • Meet with an adviser to discuss class options and program fees.

Registration and placement testing must occur for new and continuing students prior to class starting dates. If an agency or business will be covering the cost of a student’s tuition and fees, the student must bring documentation on the agency or business letterhead giving the Adult Education Center permission to bill them. Otherwise, the student will be responsible for paying his/her tuition and fees.

Classes are offered at our two main centers located in Eastern and Western Henrico.
