2016 Placement testing for New Students:

TABE testing will resume the week of August 8, 2016.  Beginning the week of August 8, 2016, new students may come in to take a placement test on a Tuesday or Thursday at 9:00 a.m. or on a Monday or Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at our Mt. Vernon location. Have questions? Give us a call at (804) 527-4660!

Additional GED® Preparation and Fast Track Information

  • Structured, short term sessions to prepare adults for the GED® test.

  • A review of math, writing skills, and reading techniques to develop critical thinking skills for science, social studies and literature.

  • Available at the Adult Education Centers in the eastern and western portions of Henrico County.

  • Classes meet twice weekly.

  • Tuition for first time and returning students is $25.00 per session*. The GED® calculator is $20.GED® level textbooks cost $18.00 each. Each book contains one GED® subject. 

  • Tuition must be paid prior to starting class. No refunds available.

  • If an agency or business will be covering the cost of a student’s tuition and fees, the student must bring documentation on the agency or business letterhead giving the Adult Education Center permission to bill them. Otherwise, the student will be responsible for paying his/her tuition and fees.
