(STUDENTS MUST HAVE TAKEN PART I – unless approved by Instructor)

PART 2 CONTINUES the basic principles and concepts of the accounting cycle and governing financial practices. Students develop fundamental accounting skills, including recording and analyzing transactions, using manual procedures and electronic spreadsheets, preparing Federal and Virginia income and payroll taxes (and related journal entries), computing depreciation and controlling inventory. Accounting serves as a good base for students seeking higher education or entry level work in the business world and is a critical element forself-employment. This is an Online course; face-to-face time will also be offered periodically to personalize instruction and assist students as needed. Completion of Part 1 and Part 2 will give the student the knowledge they need to take the NOCTI Certification Exam. This class does not include the actual NOCTI certification.

Exam (due no later than): Friday, December 13, 2019 at noon
