Animal Adaptations

Summary

To further explore animal adaptations collaborative groups independently use 21st century skills through research, a classroom blog, and a Promethean flipchart. The information gathered is used to make a classroom presentation. This presentation provides a non-traditional assessment.

This lesson is Developing in Research and Information Fluency. Collaborative groups of students utilize many different digital resources and tools of their choice to research various adaptations of their animal.

This lesson is Ideal in Communication and Collaboration. Students engaged in meaningful communication through the blog, various research sources/tools, and group presentation.

This lesson is Developing in Critical Thinking and Problem Solving. Using the blog, students responded to higher order questions and demonstrated critical thinking.

This lesson is Approaching in Creativity and Innovation. Students blended technology and personal choices to generate new ideas and products. Students also summarized their research.
